Shkelqim Hajdari, after being discharged by the Prosecutor General, has
received temporary police protection against alleged threats from his
superiors.
The Prosecutor General, Adriatic Llalla, discharged the Chief of the Court of Appeal Prosecution, Shkelqim Hajdari, and replaced him with Dritan Peka.
Llalla ordered that Shkelqim Hajdari will remain a Prosecutor at the Prosecution of Appeal.
The decision comes one week after the incident that Hajdari had with Llalla during a general meeting where Prosecutors would vote for a member of the Board of Magistrate, where the Secretary of the Association of Prosecutors, Ida Ahmetlliu, proposed to discharge Shkelqim Hajdari as Chairman of the Association of Prosecutors.
After an urgent request at the police, Shkelqim Hajdari was taken under temporary police protection.
Hajdari made a request for protection after he felt threatened, which weas given immediately. A police commission will meet today to verify his danger.
