The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, said a few days ago that
Balili, the much wanted suspect, accused of organized crime and drug
traffic, will soon be arrested by police.
Today, special forces searched 10 homes and 3 hotels in Saranda and Delvina. They took 11 persons for questioning, relatives of Balili.
The operation is led by the Vice Chief of Police, Ardian Cipa. Sources say none of Balili’s relatives have accepted to cooperate, and they even accused police of terror.
“They took my son through force. I had to fight the police”, ays Manushaqe Balili, Balili’s sister-in-law.
“This behavior wasn’t seen even by the German Gestapo”, said Avni Veizi, Balili’s father-in-law.
His wife says that her husband will not turn himself over, because she claims there is no justice in Albania. “After the Vetting Law enters in effect, because our prosecutions and courts are corrupted. Who will my husband turn himself over to?”, said Alma Balili.
