The state police announced today that it continues with intensive checks on all roads of the country, and as a result in the last 24 hours, 9 drivers have been arrested, for driving while intoxicated or without a license.
45 licences have been suspended for speeding, or for driving under the influence of alcohol, and 1890 fines have been imposed for violating the Road Code.
Police said that measures have been taken for traffic violations that are a risk for involvement in road accidents, such as overtaking and dangerous maneuvers on the road, speeding, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt or helmet, driving under the influence of alcohol or without a driving license.
