Police is looking for six other people that are involved in the case of
paid assassinations committed by Julian Sinanaj. Police has made public
only two of them, the Mehillaj cousins, Andon and Genis.
Police thinks that leaked information allowed them to leave the country or hide. The Prosecution and the Internal Audit Service have started the investigation, and there are doubts that some of the information was used without care.
The entire investigation group was changed, with order of the Interior Minister. Other specialists have taken the case, but the police has no evidence if someone from inside has leaked the information with the intent to help the suspects.
There are suspicions that some other people who have ordered murders have left the country from the moment that the information for Sinanaj’s arrest was published, and that his collaborator had been confessing.
The Interior Audit Service at the Interior Ministry is investigating in parallel with the Prosecution for this matter. However, there is no clue if the investigation team members have given any information for those who ordered the crime.
The Interior Ministry declared that this is what damaged the investigation, allowing some of the suspects to flee the country.
According to the preliminary investigation, ten people were involved as suspects, and only four of them have been arrested.
The Tirana Police has published the photos of the two Mehillaj cousins, and offers 10.000 EUR for whoever has information.
The cousins have ordered some of the crimes. According to Sinanaj, the cousins did not tell him all the names of the people who ordered the crimes.
