Police officer arrested over vehicle smuggling

A police officer was arrested this Thursday together with three other persons over power abuse and vehicle smuggling charges.

Sources at the Ministry of Interior say that they have arrested Arjan Sokoli, Assistant Inspector at the Morina Border Police Station, over power abuse.

“Two vehicles using the same license plates were seized by the Police. The vehicles were driven by Denis Koni and Indrit Koni without the respective documentation”, the official notification says.

The sector against the Economic-Financial Crime has arrested Indrit and Denis Koni and Baftiar Halili for smuggling goods.
