Police investigators say gas cylinder explosion should have been avoided

After a gas cylinder exploded, injuring 18 people, the Prosecution of
Tirana started investigating if the owner had violated safety rules.
Sources say that the owner of the sweet shop, Abdullah Dervishi, has tried to fix a valve and caused the gas to leak to the point of having the situation out of hand.
Experts say he has violated the technical safety principles, since he should have asked the distributors to help with the problem.
Neighboring businesses that were damaged say they had notified the authorities for the danger.
One of the 18 injured is being held in reanimation, while others are outside of life threatening danger.
