The Gjirokaster police held another operation for stopping the flux of
illegal immigrants who use Albania to go to neighboring countries.
Local authorities say that the police, in cooperation with the Delta effectives, have stopped 70 clandestine from Syria.
Police sources say they had secured information before arresting the group while they were going through the Gline village.
The Gjirokaster Police arrested 44 other citizens, four days ago, who were suspected of entering Albania through Greece. Two women and one child were found among them.
Their first destination was probably one of Western European countries. The Albanian authorities started the procedures for returning them to Syria.
Southern Albania seems to have turned into an important corridor for clandestine, since earlier this month the police arrested 76 other Syrians.
