Haki Cako, Chief of General Police, did not answer to the question of
who was the person who had hit the car of the police chief in Elbasan
with his armored vehicle, for whom many special unit arrived in Elbasan
today.
“The person has been identified. We are working intensively with the Prosecution of Serious Crimes. We demand maximal commitment from Elbasan Prosecution and Courts as well”, Cako said, reiterating the orders of Interior Minister Xhafaj, who said that a thorough operation would be extended to the most problematic areas of the country.
30 persons have been detained for verification in Elbasan, while several buildings have been searched. A few days ago, a vehicle driven by the Elbasan Chief of Police, was hit by an armored vehicle owned by a person known in the city for his many businesses. The opposition mentioned that this was about the son-in-law of the Elbasan Mayor.
