Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that there is not and will not be a pact with former Democratic Prime Minister Sali Berisha, declared a person “non grata” by the USA, saying that the talks with the ‘Rithemelimi’ group within the DP aim to allow the opposition the right to set up parliamentary investigative commissions.

“Where is the bargain with the non-grata?” Rama asks in disbelief after the attacks on social networks, adding that “accusations and slander are completely baseless, aiming to poison the public”.

Focusing on the bipartisan Electoral Reform Commission at the center of the agreement, Rama said that if nothing but quarrels and noises arise from it, the commission will be closed and this work will be left to the Assembly.

“All the useful idiots have gone to social media and channels to say that we have swallowed what we have said and are cooperating with Berisha, even though we agree that according to the framework established by the Constitutional Court, we approve investigative commissions within this framework!”

“Ah, if those who created problems in the parliament have changed their minds and want to return to work, we do not want to prevent them from reflecting, on the contrary, we are glad that they do. That’s all, we are who we were, with the same attitudes we had, not because it is wrong to change an attitude, but because in this case there is nothing to change in our attitude”, said Rama, among other things.
