Prime Minister Edi Rama said today in a parliament speech that the earthquake reconstruction campaign will create new jobs, while adding that public administration jobs will go to excellence students.
“I make an open call to all those who want work and are knowledgeable in building. The challenge of this process is the great need for employees, as many jobs will be created. On the one hand we are prepared to give training, but on the other we are challenged by the fact that many jobs will be left vacant, by those who complain that they want public administration jobs”, stated the PM.
Rama added that the government would make a deal for an average wage for construction companies. “We will not accept the current salaries, that will be imposed by the government and will be above the average level of today’s wages, including social contributions. Now we also will give companies the opportunity to recruit foreigners if needed, ”Rama said.
Referring to those looking for a job in the administration the PM added: “Working in the state is a job left to excellence students, or to those who come from other successful experiences. Those coming into administration with excellent grades will have the doors open. In this process we want to not only repair the earthquake damages, but to make significant leaps for the country’s economy. “
