Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on Twitter, reacted to the progress of the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia, stressing the importance of implementing the Agreement on the Path to Normalization of Relations between Kosovo and Serbia and its Implementing Annex, to ensure stability and peace in the Western Balkans.
According to him, the meeting of the European Council is approaching and the Agreement together with the Implementation Annex “must be officially included as an integral part of the respective processes of membership of Kosovo and Serbia in the EU”.
“As we approach the meeting of the European Council on March 21, it is essential to remember that the implementation of the Agreement on the Path to Normalization of Relations between Kosovo and Serbia, together with its Implementing Annex, is of great importance for maintaining security, stability and peace in the Western Balkans.
“It is not enough just to recognize the Agreement, which is legally binding, but to be officially included as an integral part of the respective processes of membership of Kosovo and Serbia in the EU. Any delay in doing so only strengthens the status quo. This is the strategic key for a peaceful, prosperous and European neighborhood in the middle of Europe”, writes Rama on Twitter.
