Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the only alternative to voting for Albanian immigrants is by mail, but added this process has many difficulties.
Rama stressed that the problem is related to the registration of Albanians in foreign countries adding that a pilot project would start on the initiative.
“When it comes to the immigrant vote, there is no open divergence between the electoral reform parties, but we do not agree on everything at the moment that we speak. The process has been confusing and sitting down was done under specific conditions, and as a result the optimization is smaller than it would normally be. We have studied them and Majko has been working on the methods of taking votes from abroad, but for political reasons we excluded voting at embassies and consulates, which could have been feasible”, stated Rama.
