PM Rama meets President Hollande in Paris

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, was received by the French President, François Hollande.

Rama is attending this visit for the Paris Summit, in which Western Balkan countries and the EU will discuss infrastructure funds.

Rama also attended a meeting with Commissioner Hahn, with whom he discussed the reforms in Albania.

The Summit aims a quicker integration of Western Balkan countries by stimulating cooperation and funding concrete infrastructure projects.

An agreement will be signed in Paris for the establishing of the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation, an initiative between the Prime Ministers of Albania and Serbia.

The headquarters of this Office will be in Tirana and the European Commission will grant 1 million EUR for it. The new pilot scheme will have five civil employees from every country of the region.

The Summit is expected to also discuss the projects for the rehabilitation of the Tirana Durres railways.
