Albanian Prime Minister Rama has called on the international factor to take punitive measures against Serbia for the offensive acts in the north of Kosovo.

At the end of the joint conference with his Croatian counterpart, Rama said that it is up to the EU and NATO to condemn the act and avoid the repetition of the event.

“The Berlin summit will also have a discussion topic for the Balkans, starting with the difficult situation in the north of Kosovo. But it is up to the EU and NATO to condemn the act, in order to stop and avoid the repetition or worse a deterioration. We need a unified attitude regarding what happened, not only in words but also with facts.

“It must be said ‘stop’, and in no way can it be accepted that in the middle of Europe or a region, a criminal group armed to the teeth with illegal militarily uniforms takes the life of a policeman and enjoys the national honors” said Rama.

In other points, he mentioned the suspension of agricultural funds from the European Union, promising that there will be corrections in the field of administration of agricultural funds.

“We have asked for direct support for the negotiation process and we want to get as much support as possible for tourism, cyber security, active assistance in the function of employment, as well as to deal specifically with cases such as in the field of administration of EU funds for agriculture, as Croatia here also had a similar case and we are interested in learning about the structural addressing that the Croatian government has done” – said Rama during the joint conference with the Croatian counterpart in Zagreb.
