Today’s meeting of the Socialist Party leadership lasted enough for
Prime Minister Edi Rama to explain why four ministers had been replaced,
after he valued their work so far.

Rama announced that Fatmir Xhafaj will be the new Interior Minister; Olta Xhacka will be Minister of Social Welfare; Ogerta Manastirliu will be Health Minister, and Edaurd Shalsi will be Minister of Local Government. “For the rest, follow me on Top Story”, Rama said, referring to Top Channel’s show hosted by Sokol Balla.

Edi Rama will be on Top Channel during one of the most delicate moments for his government. Top Channel has learned that they spoke about two other Ministers that are about to be replaced, Ditmir Bushati and Lindita Nikolla.

Rama explained that Bushati was not replaced due to the NATO summit this May, and the Trieste Summit of Western Balkan countries.

The Minister of Education was not replaced due to the High-School graduation exams, the process for which has just started and it could cause complications.

To show the importance of this campaign, with or without the opposition in these elections, Rama said that they will work seriously for June 18th while the “tent” can keep working on February 18th.

Rama is also quoted of having said that “the tent serves to the purposes of some foreigners who don’t want Albania’s best interest”.
