PM Rama and opposition mention Trump

The Parliament was involved this Thursday in harsh debates regarding the
US President, Donald Trump, and the declarations PM Edi Rama made
against him.

Democratic Party MP, Astrit Patozi, said “I hope Trump doesn’t learn about Rama’s declaration, because he will say Albania is not serious. Edi Rama was prepared that the Trump issue would be mentioned by the opposition in Parliament”, Patozi said.

PM Rama described the opposition’s stance as ridiculous: “I have criticized a candidate, and not the President. They attack me as if their big brother came out of prison and is coming to get me”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister said he doesn’t regret what he said about Trump. On the contrary, Rama said that this episode shows his governing motto.

“I will only lead for the dignity of Albania. This country may be poor, but not kneeled down with his mouth shut”, Rama said.

Former PM Berisha said the Prime Minister’s explanation was absurd: “This candidate was very radical during the Kosovo war and asked for troops to enter the fight, rather than bombing from the air”, he said.
