Summer Day festivities began in Elbasan the night before and it has reaffirmed itself as the capital of the holiday. Prime Minister Edi Rama and opposition leader Lulzim Basha both visited the city on the occasion and beside the occasional greetings also talked politics.
“We will continue to work hard to improve the economic and employment situation in the country. The only uneplyed people should be corrupt prosecutors and judges who are keeping Albania on hold”, Rama said.
Asked about Rama’s comments for foreign influence on the opposition protest, Basha replied: “I will not deal with such nonsense on this holiday, but I wish this day will be the beginning of a lot of good work we will do for Albania and Albanians.
