The Minister of Economy, Milva Ekonomi, explained the importance of a
250 million USD iconic tower at Tirana’s new Boulevard, by a company
registered in Dubai and known for building hotels like “Hilton” and many
others.
The 350 meters high tower will house the new city hall. 3000 square meters will go only to the municipality, while the rest will be used for trade ativity.
“12 square meters will be used for hotels and other services, a golden opportunity for us”, the Minister asid.
However, the MP of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Robert Bitri, didn’t agree with the fiscal facilities that the Arab company would receive, and said it should be renegotiated.
The Parliament voted to allow the negotiations between the government of Albania and the Arab company. The negotiations will last 30 days.
