PJIU left out of the Vetting Law commission by SP and SMI

The formula chosen by the Socialist Party for representing the ruling
majority at the commission that verifies the vetting candidates does not
include the three coalition parties.

Four names were proposed to represent the majority, Ulsi Manja and Vasilika Hysi from the Socialists; Luan Rama from the SMI, and Shpetim Idrizi from the Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity.

The official proposition of two names from the Socialist Party means that the vetting commission has no room for all allies.

PJIU, being the smallest party, may be removed and three places may be taken by the Socialists, one by the SMI.

Having two names from the biggest party of the alliance has created discontent at the PJIU. Sources close to leader Shpetim Idrizi said for Top Channel that this is not the way to keep an alliance, and that this decision keeps the PJIU one step away from the government.

The Socialists didn’t explain why they chose a formula that leaves no room for the PJIU. However, the PJIU, a party with six Parliament Members, was left outside. This may be another reason for the shaken coalition.

It remains to be seen, although hardly possible, if these disagreements will be mended by April 20th, when the deadline for registration of the CEC coalition will expire.
