The Greek website “To Vima”, published seven photos this Wednesday taken from the Nigrita security cameras.
These are the first moments when the Albanian prisoners has arrived. Kudred Kuma, known in Greece as Ilia Kareli, killed a Greek prison guard after he was not allowed to meet his mother. A few days later Kareli was found dead in his cell. The coroner verified that his beating was caused by severe beating and damaged internal organs.
These are the photos of the Greek “Abu Gharibi”, writes the Greek newspaper by commenting the photos which show Kareli accompanied by the Nigrita prison guards in good health conditions and without wounds on his body, besides a hematoma in his left eye.
After two hours and 45 minutes of torture by 15 guards, he is dragged out, totally beaten and almost naked. He was left in the cell also called “refrigerator” where he gave his last breath. These are evidence that Kareli has been tortured by the guards of this institution.
In the photos is seen the prison director, who was not summoned to testify, although he is accused of defending a crime committed in the institution he leads.
The heart and other parts of the prisoner’s body that were removed by order of rht eGreek prosecution have not been retrieved by the relatives.
The seven other defendants are summoned to testify this Wednesday. One of them will testify on Friday, four on Monday and the last two ones on Tuesday.
