Peqin, car crash leaves four dead

Four died in a car crash near Peqin, which involved three vehicles. The
Elbasan police say that the victims are Xhevit Karaj, from Kavaja, Besim
Dupi, from Elbasan, while the body of the driver in the third vehicle
has not been identified yet. Besmir Beu, who was the passenger in one of
the cars died on the way to hospital.

Police and three ambulances arrived on site, without being able to save three of the drivers who had died on the spot. Two other passengers were rushed to hospital, with one of them being in serious conditions.

Police are investigating two of the vehicles which appear to have been driving above the speed limit, racing each other for an overpass. Both of them crashed against a Ford at a curve near Peqin. This curve is notorious for the dangerous conditions and has already claimed many lives.

And to make it worse, there are no proper signs in this area, and not even police officers who could stop this mad race towards death.
