Pentagon ahs commemorated the 20th anniversary of the NATO bombing campaign in Kosovo.
High-level officials from the Pentagon spoke about the extraordinary importance of that campaign.
The witnesses of that battle remembered their personal suffering.
Dave Goldfein was a simple pilot of an F-16, 20 years ago, when NATO started bombing the Serbian targets. Today he is Chief of Staff of the US Air Forces and one of Pentagon’s main generals.
“We go to war to defend our values. We don’t want war, but when a cause is right, we defend our values. Kosovo is the example of how good prevails over evil. I am happy that thanks to the NATO intervention, people had a chance for the future. I am proud for what we achieved”, said General Dave Goldfein.
