Peleshi: Interventions in affected areas. Calculation of damages has started

The Deputy Prime Minister, Niko Peleshi, declared that the situation after the floods is going towards normalization.

After expressing condolences to the families of the three victims, Peleshi declared that the situation was worse in Lezhe and Fier.

“The situation in Lezhe has come to normal. The pumps are working and affected citizens are receiving help. We have supplied drinking water in those areas”, Peleshi declared.

The Deputy Prime Minister underlined that the emergency headquarters are gathered in every district of our country, while the final evaluation of damages is not over yet.

The situation in districts

The situation I Lezhe was calm after 01:00 am. The firefighters, workers of the Energy Corporation and of te Distribution System were able to remove the waters and reconnect the energy for all operators.

The firefighters are removing water from flooded houses. The Prefect of Lezhe has met with the Commission of Emergencies to analyze the situation and return the pumps back to work in Balldre, Shengjin and Lezhe.
