A police officer with the initials R.B. was declared wanted after he shot with the service weapon at a vehicle that he had stopped in the course of the duty. He is now accused of attempted murder, falsification of documents and false report.
The Police Supervision Agency in Tirana has sentenced the 34-year-old officer of the Special Force Section “Shqiponja” to “imprisonment”, while two other officers have been sentenced to mandatory appearance.
Officer E.D., 46 years old, is suspected of the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”, committed in cooperation, “Forgery of documents” and “Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth”, as well as the officer F.Z., 37 years old, suspected of the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”, committed in cooperation, “Crime omission”, “Forgery of documents” and “Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth”.
The appointment of measures became possible after the criminal report filed by a citizen, from which turned out that on March 8, 2024, during the police patrol service on the Tirana-Fushë Krujë road segment, these police officers stopped a vehicle and during police actions, exceeding the conditions of the necessary self-defence, he shot with the service weapon, endangering the lives of the two people who were in the vehicle.
Following the event, in addition to not reporting to the superior structures, they tried to hide the evidence and facts.
