The Albanian Energy Distribution Entity (OSHEE) has started the 16
million USD investment for the Paskuqan Babrru network. The Minister of
Energy and Industry, Damian Gjiknuri, and the OSHEE Director, Ardian
Cela, were present in the start of the works of the 20 kV line.
For Gjiknuri, these investments are a result of the order established with the consumer bill payments.
“This means an uninterrupted and modern electricity system. The message is clear. Those who pay the energy will have investments with a safer energy. The government will have these areas as a priority. Kamza will be the first one that will have investments that have never been seen in this area”, Gjiknuri declared.
Paskuqan and Babrru have a network loss of 56%. One year ago it was 65%. The investments will continue for 6-8 months and it will influence the power supply for 16 families and businesses.
