Parties agree to pass decriminalization law through consensus

It seems that the decriminalization process will continue with
consensus. The Socialist Movement for Integration announced that their
propositions for this process to continue through consensus at the
Special Parliamentary Commission have been taken in consideration.

The same stance was held even by Taulant Balla, the Socialist MP who declared a few days ago that the mandate of the Special Commission had expired.

Balla didn’t say that the SP could pass the decriminalization draft even without the opposition. However, the Socialists believe that the intervention in the fundamental state laws should be done by the Parliament. The SMI confirmed that the legal structure should be drafted by the Special Commission, a decision that seems to have Democratic Party support.

The two political forces disagree on the Constitutional amends, but the majority also insists for the inclusion of some criminal acts for banning people from holding public posts. The Socialists exclude the drug test and answer to the request of the Democratic Party for taking fingerprints.

The SMI did not hide the contribution of their party for intermediating.
