The Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, started an official visit in Italy,
meeting with the Persident of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Mrs.
Laura Boldrini.
Meta said our Parliaments should increase cooperation. He asked Mrs.Boldrini to accelerate the procedures of the law that removes transportation taxes for businesses.
The President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Mrs.Boldrini, said that Italy is ready to offer her expertise during the negotiation process with the EU, as a confirmation of the clear commitment of Italy for the European perspective of all Balkan countries.
“We reached the conclusion that the relations between our Parliaments need to have a boost and I felt good that I was invited to visit Tirana. I am sure we have still more to develop in our institutional and parliamentary relations. I had the pleasure to offer cooperation between our two Parliaments, with the purpose to join forces and put in line a system based on mutual exchange that could bring good things to both Parliaments”, Boldrini said.
Parliament Speaker Meta thanked Mrs.Boldrini for the support and expressed Albania’s determination to push forward the strategic cooperation as a NATO member and as an EU candidate.
Meta also asked Mrs.Boldrini for more attention to the Albanian schools in the Arberesh areas.
