The Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, met this Monday with the
co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council
of Europe, Jonathan Evans and Andrej Hunko.
The meeting focused on the work done so far for advancing with the judiciary reform, the progress of the local elections and implementation of the new territorial-administrative reform.
The Parliament Speaker underlined that the standards of these local elections were successful. According to him, they gave life to the new administrative and territorial division, and confirmed the citizens’ free will to elect 61 Mayors of the new municipalities.
