The Parliament of Kosovo ended the Special Court Saga by voting the
marathon session. 82 Palriament Members voted in favor, out of 117 that
were present on the floor. Five voted against and one abstained.
The session continued among harsh debates between the ruling coalition and the opposition.
Albin Kurti, from the Self-Determination Movement, said that the Court will stain the image of the Liberation War. Prime Minister Thaci said that the court is necessary for the integration path.
Kurti criticized the amends that excludes Kosovo judges from the trial. Former Prime Minister Thaci asked MPs to vote the court, after making a summary of the creation of the KLA and the independence of Kosovo.
