The airplane that fell in Divjaka has changed the entire agenda of the
opposition, turning the drug traffic case into their only political
activity.
But the opposition doesn’t want to continue the investigation from the Parliamentary commission started from the majority, since the main goal of this commission has been rejected together with the airplane.
“You say that your object is to bring down the opposition’s accusations for drug traffic. This objective is over. The commission must stop its activity”, declared the Democratic Party Parliament Member, Oerd Bylykbashi.
“This is a decision taken by the Parliament and we cannot change anymore. Your theory is to slander continuously that something will remain”, declared the Socialist Party Parliament Member, Ermonela Felaj.
By abandoning the commission definitively, the opposition prepared the next step. They filed a request at the Parliament for establishing another investigation commission that aims to verify the data for an increasing drug traffic phenomenon, including the usage of the airspace by drug traffickers, the role of the public employees and about the measures taken by the government upon receiving information.
The Democratic Party aims to make the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, part of this investigation, together with the Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, who, according to the opposition, created government alibis to cover the drug traffic in our airspace when they denied its usage for the drug traffic.
