The Albanian former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared in Parliament
that Belle Air was intentionally brought to bankruptcy to be replaced
by a new business of the people in power.
But the Minister of Finances, Shkelqim Cani, declared that the government made all maximal efforts to make it easier for the company, although they had not paid any tax for five years.
“All Ministers should gather at the Economy Commission, because all citizens who paid their ticket, now have to add 70 Euros. This company not only did not have financial problems in May, but they were offering free charters for those who needed to vote”, declared the Socialist Party Parliament Member, Erjon Brace.
“The Albanian people who want their money know who caused it, after one Minister said they had frozen their accounts, and another one said they didn’t”, Paloka replied.
Two days ago, Belle Air announced the suspension of all flights, leaving 52.000 citizens on the street.
The Italian company Alitalia accepted to help with the Belle Air passengers. The news was given by the Minister of Transports, Edmond Haxhinasto.
