Parliament, debate over Kokedhima’s mandate

The request of the Democratic Party to review the mandate of MP Koco
Kokedhima has turned into another legal and political debate in
Parliament.

The Democratic Party MP, Arben Ristani, declared that Kokedhima has profited public funds while being an MP. The Socialist Party MP, Vasilika Hysi, said Kokedhima has not signed any contract since he was declared an MP by the Central Electoral Commission. Kokedhima said that being a shareholder means that these people have chosen to work with honesty and transparence.

“Kokedhima tried to explain it to us, but he made it worse”, declared MP Ristani.

“Ristani’s grandfather and my grandfather are cousins from the same village. Ristani, you were drunk in the Commission of Mandates and this is a shame for you, for the opposition and also for our village”, Kokedhima declared.

“In my village it was an unwritten rule to not make marriages with the Kokodhimas. Now I see Koco and I understand they were right”, Ristani declared.

“You will be defeated in the local elections and we will remove the bad memory of the bad governing that you gave to the people, especially to southern Albania”, Kokodhima declared.

The move of the majority to reject the request of the Democratic Party for Kokodhima’s case has made the former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, to fail keeping the promise for not being present in this session, since he has attacked Kokedhima when he was Prime Minister.

“You can defend anything at the Constitutional Court. If you win, we can have a 24 speech against Berisha here”, Berisha declared.

“You robbed 10.000 hectares of land and the persons who stole them are your children”, Kokedhima replied.

“Every square meter of land that you find belonging to my family will be given to you, from Rrogozhina to Konispol”, Berisha answered.

“I will not ask permission from you about where I go. I represent my people and my answer will be given on June 21st”, Kokedhima declared.
