The Parliament session of this Thursday is expected to be full of harsh
debates, since the Parliament Members are expected to create the Special
Commission for Territorial Reform and the Investigative Commission for
the Armed Forces, regarding the drug traffic accusations.

The majority is expected to add one member at the Territorial Reform Commission, for having the majority and start working.

Berisha: You want to hide your millions. Ruçi: You are feeling scared

The former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, accused the majority of violating the Constitution with the amending of the law for the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets, by taking a competency that belonged to the President by law.

According to Berisha, these amends are being made because the majority wants to control the institution that will hide the millions of Euros that they keep under their mattresses.

After this declaration, the Head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Gramoz Ruci, declared that Berisha’s biggest fear is that the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets has started to move after staying inexistent for at least two years, making many officials hide their wealth.

“This law was made by the majority that you had. What is the problem? You are afraid now that this institution has started working. It had been staying for two years without doing anything”, Ruci declared.

DP: You used amnesty for the ballot robbery in Korçë. SP: You voted the law

Today’s session started with the opposition’s debate for suspending the “Korce votes” robbery. The case was suspended after the case was included in the Amnesty law that had just entered in act.

The Democratic Party Parliament Member, Oerd Bylykbashi, declared that it is shameful that those who commit a crime receive amnesty. But the Socialist Party Parliament Member, Armando Subashi, answered that the opposition had the amnesty law and they voted it.

Ruli: HIDAA law amend, SP wants to take this institution. Hysi: there is nothing anti-constitutional

The Democratic Party Parliament Member, Genc Ruli, declared that by removing the President’s competences for selecting the Director of High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets, the government aims to take this institution under control.

According to him, the majority is trying to save itself from future possible violations.

Right after this declaration, the Socialist Party Parliament Member, Vasilika Hysi, underlined that there is nothing anti-constitutional in this amend, since they are only controlling the interests of institutions that audit the wealth of high-rank officials. According to Hysi, very serious violations have been noted so far, such as high-rank officials failing to declare the assets of the people they were living with.
