The Parliament approved the new fiscal package, which brings important changes in the Albanian taxation system.
The first tax that will change is that of used vehicles, which will be removed for being replaced with an annual tax that will be collected through the official technical control.
The package also removes the circulation and registration tax, which will be replaced by increasing the fuel tax by 7 ALL per liter.
The tax will also change for the clothing industry. The import tax for raw materials of inward processing and garments industry will be zeroed by September 1st 2011. The new package also decreases the beer excise from 30 to 10 ALL per liter.
