For the fifth consequent year, the parade of Albanians was organized in
New York, a parade that peaked in Manhattan, with the participation of
thousands of Albanians from several areas of America.

For the organizers, this is a way for showing that the Albanian people, always considered small, are big enough to let their voice be heard in the heart of the most powerful country in the world.

“This parade unites the Albanians of the USA and of the world. This is very important, because, as you can see, most of them are young Albanians raised in the USA, and with this parade we are trying to give them the Albanian patriotism, so that they can feel proud they are Albanians, and so that they can tell everyone here in America that they are Albanians”, declared Marko Kepi.

“We have slogans for Chameria, Macedonia, the Highlands, but especially for Kosovo. Everyone must know that we are together. We are not four separate states. We know it, but we want the world to know it”, declared the other organizer, Besmir Hoxha.

Several awards were given during this ceremony, including one to Mark Gjonaj, the Democratic member of the New York assembly, and one to Top Channel’s journalist, Marin Mema, for his contribution in preserving and promoting the national values. Gjonaj and Mema were also the marshals of honor of this parade.

In his speech, Top Channel’s journalist invited every young Albanian born outside the country to contribute with their experience. “Let’s be together, because that’s the only way to go ahead”, Mema declared.

Top Channel’s program “Exclusive” will bring the parade of the New York Albanians as never before. Not only the event, but also what hides behind this extraordinary organization.
