The two Parliamentary group leaders, Petrit Vasili for the Socialist
Movement for Integration and Edi Paloka for the Democratic Party,
testified almost on the same hour at the Prosecution of Serious crimes.
Petrit Vasili didn’t give any media declaration after the testimony, different from his Democratic Party MP, Edi Paloka, who insisted with the accusations launched by the Democratic Party earlier. According to Paloka, the Parliament Speaker and the Prime Minister are pressuring the investigations.
“This keeps stinking of mafia. This is an evident effort from the majority to hide it. We asked Ilir Meta to resign, so that the judiciary can function properly without any pressure from the Parliament Speaker. This didn’t happen. The opposite happened. There are witnesses who disappear, witnesses who change their testimonies and who are taken from Germany”, Paloka declared.
Paloka is not one of those who believe that the accusations are true, but, according to him, this doesn’t make innocent Meta, Rama or the Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri.
“I don’t know if it is true or not. We know that this majority has been criticized because they have hidden it for six months. Even if it is not true, which I don’t think, because otherwise they wouldn’t have to manipulate it, the truth is that this mafia organization that we have for a government has hidden it for six months”, he declared.
After Vasili and Paloka, Spartak Braho didn’t comment on the declaration. He only said: “Basha was in Strasbourg. Did you ask him why he went there?”
