Pacolli: Ready to resign

Kosovo’s Constitutional Court decision that pronounced Behgjet Pacolli’s presidential election as unconstitutional has created a political crisis in Kosovo.

Prime Minister Thaçi and President Pacolli met earlier this day. After their meeting, President’s political adviser, Ibrahim Gashi, declared that Mr. Pacolli is willing to hand his resignation if recommended by the Constitutional Court.

“During this meeting, Kosovo’s President and Prime Minister discussed about the Constitutional Court decision and Presidency’s next steps. We respect the decision, but we are waiting the final verdict. President Pacolli is willing to comply with any demand of the Constitutional Court”, Gashi declared.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi gave no comment for the Medias and walked through in silence. But the Constitutional Court decision has made Pacolli, Thaçi and American ambassador Christopher Dell cancel their agendas.
