US ambassador in Tirana expressed his support to the police for realizing a calm and just election process.
“The State Police is aware that the citizens have their right to vote and have free access to the voting centers. They are completely aware of the citizens’ human rights. The OSCE presence in Albania will help the Police to cover communication in remote areas. It is very important the fact that the Police is preparing and that Albania concludes calm and efficient elections. The situation must remain as it is, and the citizens should identify the best electoral programs and focus on peace and tranquility”, said Eugen Wollfarth.
The Albanian Chief of State Police, Hysni Burgaj, assured that the Police will do an impartial job.
“I guaranteed the ambassador as I guaranteed all Albanian citizens that the State Police is committed to respect the law”, Burgaj said.
There are at least 7000 police officers that will engage for ensuring a calm election day.
