OSCE: Political parties must cooperate

27/06/2013 00:00

The United States Ambassador at the OSCE, Ian Kelly, declared that the
parties should cooperate in a constructive way to bring forward the
democratic and economic development of Albania.

“The hard work for the construction of democracy does not end after the ballots are counted and the winners are declared. The political leaders will be tried by what they do, not by what they say”.

Kelly declared that the new government should keep strengthening the rule of law, should increase the human rights standards, promote a government of transparence and accountability, to promote economic development and to work for stable and democratic reforms in the consensual path of the European Union.

“This is a process that needs the opposition to be constructive. We want their commitment even in the future of Albania”, Kelly underlined in his declaration for the elections in Albania.
