The OSCE Presence in Albania declared that the opposition’s decision to renounce the mandates of their MPs undermines the democratic processes and makes the people elected by their people to abandon the responsibility they took when they received votes.
“The essential reforms that have wide support among the people are being delayed”, the declaration says.
“The OSCE presence strongly recommends the involved parties to stay away from any attempt to shock the foundations of democracy through violence, in order to change the democratic process through non-democratic processes. Those who encourage violence will be held responsible. It is regrettable that so many old friends of Albania were not heard. Based on our constant support for restarting the Democratic process in the Parliament, one of the achievements of the Democratic Albania”, the OSCE says.
