The two children who remained orphans from the murder that took place in
the Gjonomadh village, Korce, have passed under the custody of their
grandparents.

They will receive a pension to keep them. The tragedy that left them orphans started with an extra-marital affair.

The relation between Bashkim Latollari and Daniela Mecollari was not unknown. The relatives of the victims were aware of it, but they said that the cause of this affair was poverty and her problems with her husband, who had a gambling problem.

“She had been concerned recently and was fearing for her life. She had been beaten by him and told me to call the police, but I told her to not make things worse through the police. He told me that he would kill her if she didn’t go with him. She refused him because she wanted to stay with her husband and children. As for his insinuation, that he was the father or her second child, I asked her and she said that the father of her second child was her husband”, her sister says.

The relatives of Belimon Mecollari, and those of the Metollari couple, asked the justice to give the maximal punishment for the author and they didn’t hesitate to warn for self justice.

Besides the pain and drama, the mother of the killer now has all three of her sons in prison. She feels scared about her nephew and asks for mercy for her son, who killed four people.

“How will I live now? I plead the government and judges for mercy”, declared Fidarie Latollari.
