High level experts appealed the President of the Tirana Court, Enkelejdi
Hajro, to review the order which divides judges in two categories:
judges for preliminary cases and judges for basic cases.
Experts say that this order not only puts the reviewing of cases into a collapse, but the law is also violated.
Professor Artan Hoxha says that appointing 12 preliminary judges by avoiding lots, is one of the abuses.
But what other disagreements did this order cause?
“This is a very dangerous moment to put in question the process, up to the chances of having corruption and other actions that go against the law, because a Prosecutor could suspend a case he knows will be on the chart”, Hoxha declared.
The order of Judge Enkelejdi Hajro suggests there are 12 criminal judges who will review 800 filed cases. While, on the other hand, the Criminal Procedure Code amends for the image of preliminary judges are sent at the Constitutional Court, after a request made by the Union of Prosecutors who claim to damage attributes.
