The Albanian opposition started a protest against the government today, which, according to them, is captured by crime. They demand the resignation of the Interior Minister, Fatmir Xhafaj, accusing him of favoring crime.
Basha said that the problem of Albania today is the lack of democracy and the government captured by corruption. He appealed for popular unification and invited citizens to rise against “the evil” that has fallen upon the country. According to Basha, there is only one way to liberate the country from it, having the people united to remove the government.
Basha said that a government doesn’t become a good one on its own, but only when it is afraid of the people.
Some protesters tried to break the police cordon. Members of the DP calmed their people down and took them towards the Interior Ministry.
