The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that today’s protest was a miserable vandalism.
“An ugly act on the National Day of Youth. Today’s Democratic Party has drowned in the pool of a miserable vandalism, while we remind the student movement that brought down the communist regime and brought to life the Democratic Party without breaking any glass”, Rama wrote.
Rama says that this policy of the Democratic Party is a sad ugliness when comparing it with the protest of 25 years ago.
After meeting the opposition, Rama said that the DP has ended up a shadow of itself that tries to bring hope with insults and to win trust by throwing stones. The Democratic Party is wandering in the mud of its dark minds. A bunch of blind people who insult without a reason, break glasses without a reason, light up fires and damage public property in the middle of the boulevard”, Rama declared.
The Socialist MP, Erion Brace, reacted on Facebook saying “Barbarians are destroying our city. For a bit more than this Sali Berisha killed four citizens on January 21st. Enough. We need justice”, Brace said.
