The protest of the opposition party, led by the Democratic Party,
continued for 90 minutes in Tirana. The participants arrived from all
districts and gathered at the Skenderbej square, where 23 years ago was
toppled the statue of Dictator Enver Hoxha, and then they marched to the
main boulevard.

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared that our country, under the leadership of Edi Rama and Prime Minister Ilir Meta, is going towards an unsafe direction.

“23 years ago, the citizens of this country toppled the statue of the former dictator, Enver Hoxha, marking an important day for the Albanian history. Our country is facing today a dangerous crossroad. We are seeing what the Rama-Meta government is doing. They are destroying the biggest values of this country”, Basha declared.

According to Basha, the rule of law, the free vote, employment and the European aspiration are being damaged by Rama and Meta, and are breaking the law.

“With these two, the horizon of hope for the Albanian people is dark. We have gathered today, more than ever, before the evil loses the candidate status”, Basha declared.
