Opposition’s coalition insists for technical government

“Since the elections are threatened by the crime vested with power, by drugs and dirty money, and since all state structures are working for the government’s campaign, we unanimously announce our decision that the only way to guarantee free and fair elections for this June 18th, is having a technical government with wide political support. This technical government would implement the decriminalization law, will fight the drug traffic with efficiency, together with the organized crime and drug money, creating this way the necessary conditions for free and fair elections”, the statement says.

“Keeping in consideration the recent international reports, such as the one from the US State Department  and EUROPOL, which see Albania among the top countries for drug traffic, the coalition decided that Albanians are in the conditions when free and fair elections are being neutralized. For this reason, the opposition parties agreed to create a technical government with a wide base”, the declaration concluded.
