After meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, opposition members Monika Kryemadhi and Edi Paloka said for the media that they asked the EU official to intervene and release the 11 Kukes protesters.
“We asked Mrs.Mogherini to make a human intervention with Edi Rama, keeping in mind that he apologized in Parliament for the poorest area of Albanians. What’s most important for us, is that the Albanian people need more trust, and they need to have the EU closer rather than farther”, Kryemadhi declared.
The opposition answered to the accusations of Edi Rama, who said that they did everything possible to stop it.
“The opposition crossed any limit of cooperation with Mr.Rama, starting with our presence in parliament and raising our voice each day more, giving him more chances for reflection”, Kryemadhi said.
“It is a duty of the opposition to convince skeptical governments, and this can be done only through hard work and by attacking the opposition”, Paloka declared.
