Socialist leader Edi Rama declared that what happened recently in
Albania is alarming, and that the Electoral College has deepened the abyss between
just truth and unjust power abuse.
Rama emphasized that Brussels is expressing its concern for what happened after the ballot counting process in Tirana.
“Brussels expressed its concern. The Tirana election odyssey is a problem that regards the future of our country”, Rama declared.
Socialist leader underlined that this is a culminating moment that will determine the future of Albania, if the country will turn in the right direction or if it will go towards the abyss that, according to Rama, has been orchestrated by Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
“The stance of the European Commission will depend on the Electoral Process. This is a tocsin connected to the actual concern, that things are not going in the right direction”, Rama declared, referring to the reaction of Marat Garcia Fidalgo, head of the Unit for Albania at the Enlargement Directory of the European Commission.
