Opposition supporters try to block road as Rama travels to Shkoder

Many supporters of the opposition have blocked the Lezha-Shkoder road, trying to stop the motorcade of Prime Minister Edi Rama from going to an electoral meeting in Shkoder.

The Mayor of Shkoder, Voltana Ademi, has not approved the permit for the meeting. Protesters have gathered at the Dajci crossroad and are trying to block the road, while a large number of police officers are on site to free the road.

Rama chose to travel in the biggest city of Northern Albania not only in time is tense because the SP is going to the elections without the opposition’s biggest party, but also after the arrest of the former Shkoder MP, Bardh Spahia.
