The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party held a meeting this
Wednesday, after which the party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared the
decision to send a referendum request for the waste import law.
“The DP will send a referendum request for stopping the waste import law. The people’s will was denied with the pretext that the law was to be repealed”, Basha said after the meeting.
He accused the government of turning the waste import law into a corruptive affair and of breaking a promise to the voters.
